Our Investiture & Re-dedication Ceremony on October 12th. We welcomed 4 new girls to girl scouts & rededicated 11 Brownies who "bridged" last year. By: Caroline We had a great time at the ceremony. When we have a ceremony we rededicated old girl scouts and dedicate new girl scouts. We got new badges and some new fun patches too. As a girl scout you have to be loyal to the other girl scouts. So join girl scouts today!

Vet Visits Girl Scout Troop 908
By: Erin
A few weeks ago Dr. Douglas came to visit our Girl Scout
Troop. She told us how important it was to brush our pets
teeth and to take care of them in other ways too. She
handed out bags for cats and dogs to help us brush our
pets teeth. Here are some of the things the bag included,
a tooth brush that goes on your finger and some pet
treats. She also showed us some pictures of what pets
teeth looked if you didn't care for there teeth and boy
they were nasty. She brought her cat from her office. My
friend, Katie got to hold him. Lucky. So remember to
brush your pets teeth or they will be as nasty as the ones
in the pictures we saw.

Health, Fitness, and Beauty
By: Hannah
Health, fitness, and beauty are important. Nobody should be
afraid to shine and be graceful. It doesn’t matter if
somebody makes fun of how you look. We should always be
graceful and stay healthy, stay exercised, and be beautiful.
It doesn’t matter who you are. For health, foods like veggies
and fruit are very healthy. Drinks like water and orange juice
are also great. For fitness, maybe play a sport or do
activities that include exercise. Some sport examples are
basketball, tennis, dance and gymnastics. For beauty, you don’
t have to be a princess or queen, you just have to be graceful
and shine God’s light through you. And, don’t always dress
scary, dress nice and be pretty.
Looking Your Best Badge
We learned how to be the best person we can both inside &
out by making posters showing healthy habits. As a special
field trip we went to The Kid Spa for hairstyles & manicures!
Pet Care Badge
Our first badge this year is the Pet Care Badge & Suggles
& Cuddles Patch Project. We learned how to take care of
different pets & did so for our own pets. We also made
fleece pet blankets & dog cookies for an animal shelter.
Lastly, Dr. Cherry Douglas from Village square Veterinary
Clinic came to talk to us about animal care & also careers
in veterinary medicine. See Erin's article below!
Girl Scouts in the USA Badge
This was our first girl-led meeting.
Katie & Alex showed us the history &
traditions of girl scouting & its
founder. Alex shard her mother's
junior sash - we noticed a lot of the
awards & badges are ones we want to
earn!
